Thanks to Matty’s Hope, Dr Kenny Ip has been able to advance his research into Diffuse Hemispheric Glioma
“Matt was gentle, kind-hearted, had a gift for connecting with people. He loved playing hockey and at 19 was healthy, active and social, having recently finished high school.
When he started suffering from migraines, his health continued to deteriorate and it was clear that something was wrong. Matt and his family received the devastating news; he had Diffuse Hemispheric Glioma (G34-DHG), a rare and aggressive brain cancer. A few years ago, Matt passed away surrounded by his family, just eight months after receiving his diagnosis.
Family set up Matty’s Hope in his honour, an Australian-first research project at Children’s Cancer Institute into G34-DHG. Thanks to Matty’s Hope, Dr Kenny Ip has been able to advance his research into this rare cancer. FUNDS ARE NEEDED TO FIND A CHILD CANCER CURE.
