2017 Christmas Cakes project
The West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook Lions Club is celebrating its 53rd year anniversary of serving our local and wider communities. All Lions International members serve with passion and pride on a 100% voluntary basis.
Our Club’s projects help many worthy organisations and disadvantaged people under the Lions International ethos ‘We Serve.’ Project examples such as assisting fire, flood and storm victims, supporting vital cancer research through The Westmead Children’s Hospital, Youth development programs to encourage local students, Inala School, The Save Sight Foundation and victims of domestic violence. These are just a few examples of how Lions benefit communities.
Our Lions Christmas Cake and Puddings project has been running successfully for over 45 years and has raised millions of dollars towards alleviating humanitarian need, providing vital medical research funds and supporting a wide range of community organisations.
Every cake sold will help someone in some special way. Whether it’s a child’s sight that is restored or a rescue service e.g Care Flight / Flying Doctor, is helped, a flood victim is given refuge and support, Lions answer hundreds of calls for need.
Lions cakes, this year are made from first grade ingredients by George Weston Foods, and are top quality and value for money. Our 1 kg and 1.5 kg cakes cost $13 and $17 respectively. Lions Puddings are 900 grams and cost $13 each, whilst mini cakes are $2 each.
As Lions Cakes & Puddings are sold by our members direct to the public, we are able to provide much better value and quality compared to the same offerings in retail shops and supermarkets. In terms of price, we are confident that you will find that Lions Cakes and Puddings are unrivalled in value.
Lions Cakes also make great Christmas gifts, particularly in terms in ‘last minute’ situations.
In order to meet our service mission and support our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses to assist. Without the assistance of community-minded organisations, it would be difficult to maintain our current and future programs.Flyer Cakes and Puddings 2017 Mini-Fruit-Cake-with-price-bubble Flyer Centenary Tin
