Several years ago, a bond was formed between the West Pennant Hills-Cherrybrook Lions Club and the Lions Club of Collarenebri some 700 kilometers from the hustle and bustle of city life. This community, fund raises for a number of initiatives including a focus of helping drought effected farmers, people in town and support services like the Flying Doctor.
Collarenebri Lions Club is our sister club as such our club supports their members through companionship, fund raising for their initiatives, physically when the need arises to help with their own events and the local Community financially.
During the years we have undertaken a number of Tours of Duty to their town and attended their annual Horse Racing event BBQ, Christmas in the Park BBQ, Lions change over dinner and we have also been fortunate to also witness the impact of the drought firsthand by visiting rural properties.
We continue to support our sister club Financially, with Friendship, by enjoying each other’s company and having Fun when we are together.
May the recent rains continue to help and support life in their Community.
