Youth of the Year
The contest was very close and competitive from the ‘opening bell.’ The quality of this year’s contestants was very high indeed and our highly skilled Judging Panel
confronted the difficult task of selecting our Club’s ultimate winner.
The judging resulted in a year 12 student from Normanhurst Boys High, Benjamin Prince, winning the opportunity to represent our Club at the next round (the Zone Final) at Oatlands Golf Club on the 13th March.
It was pleasing to see Vanshi Batish, from William Clarke College, receive the best speaking award. Well done Vanshi.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to making the evening successful and entertaining with special mentions to the Judging Panel, who gave up their valuable time on Sunday as well as Monday evening, to Lion Gavin Ridley and his team who spent countless hours to ensure all the spadework and arrangements for the evening went like clockwork, to the contestants parents and teachers who, by their presence, showed wonderful support and interest for their children and students.
